In July 2012 SK hynix announced the launch of its client SSD (Solid State Drive) and entered into an agreement with Wal-Mart who would exclusively sell the SK hynix SSDs in the USA. At Wal-Mart's suggestion SK hynix started searching for a partner to provide disk imaging and cloning software to enable their customers to quickly and easily transfer the data from their old HD onto their new SK hynix SSD.
SK hynix approached Macrium Software in October 2012 and the two companies tested Macrium Reflect with the SK hynix SSD and found it 100% compatible. SK hynix now recommend Macrium Reflect to all their customers.
